Chapter One: Punishment
“You stay after school Ms. Jang. I will decide your punishment then.” The old lady hissed, it was almost like a snake’s. It was clear and loathing. She just glared at RiIn then. RiIn could only look down in ashamed as her hands hold tighter onto each other in front of her. The glares that were emitted from the old teacher’s wrinkled eyes were more menacing with her triangular glasses on, which had chains that circled her thin neck. Her black hair that had a hint of whiteness, which were tied up in a proper bun made her looked menacing with all of her creases. Along with her white blouse and long straight blue pencil skirt made her looked even older than she appeared since she was thin as a stick. The old lady finally left after she felt satisfied with her classic torment on Jang RiIn. The classroom fell silent for a moment before the other students started to whisper among each other. RiIn stood still in front of the classroom, unable to move due to both fear and humiliation. She bit her bottom lip as her eyes closed tight, not wanting to let tears flow across her now rosy cheeks.
“It was not even my fault…” RiIn whispered quietly, it blended perfectly with all the soft noises in her classroom. RiIn’s mind replayed what had happened just minutes ago.
Flash Back
She was just randomly walking to her classroom when she heard something crashed to the floor. The crashed sounded pierced; it was not like the sound of a broken glass nor metal. She was not unsurprised to hear it and slowly went to the corner where the crashed was heard. Along the way, she heard muffles, a mixture of altos and sopranos, girls whispering to be exact. Then the mumblings stopped followed with a series of footsteps, fading. Within seconds, silent devoured the deserted hallway. RiIn gulped when she finally reached the corner, expecting to see a normal abandon corridor. And she did. She let out a relief sighed before turning back to her original route to her class. Only her eyes caught something on the floor before she could turn. She gasped and closed her mouth as her eyes widen at the broken object. She understood the crashed sound now; it belonged to a broken vase. The vase of the school; it was a very precious object. The school had protected it for decades. Just then a rushed series of clanking could be heard across the hall; it was the sound of high heels running. Students were only allowed to wear the school uniform; heels were forbidden.
“Oh my…” RiIn immediately looked up when she heard that shocked tenor alto voice. In front of her was none other than the discipline teacher herself. Her wrinkled face was stretched to a surprised expression. Her eyes were down at the broken vase. RiIn saw that she was shaking. After a while, Ms. Hwang looked up with her terrifying eyes that glared at RiIn. Without even asking or investigating, Ms. Hwang’s skinny finger pointed at RiIn and blamed her. She then took RiIn to her classroom and scolded her in front of her classmates. Meanwhile, at the back of the classroom, a group of girls were silently laughing to themselves.
End of Flash Back
Finally after a few minutes of stillness, RiIn forced her legs to move. Thankfully they moved obediently. She walked away from the board to her desk. She kept her head hung low as she travelled, forming a light brown wavy curtain with her hair to hide her still rosy cheeks. As she passed by her classmates to reach her desk, she felt the staring eyes following her. It made her feel uncomfortable as she walked. At last when she reached her desk, she immediately sat down. Eyes were still glued to her as the whispering continued to grow louder. RiIn’s eyes gradually looked up from her wooden desk to the sit next to her. It was vacant. He was absent today. RiIn frowned. She wanted someone to talk to rather than being alone and be stared at. She let out a sighed before closing her eyes and continued to endure her classmates’ watches and mumbles. Out of all the days, her best friend had to be missing today. He is going to pay, thought RiIn. After a few minutes, the door cracked opened and their teacher walked in to resume his lesson.
…
RiIn waited patiently for Ms. Hwang to come to the now unoccupied silent classroom. Well it was not exactly silent, the sound coming from the air conditioner did kept RiIn company and as well as the muffles of students just the other side of her classroom door. She glanced at the square clock just in front of her and sighed, Ms. Hwang was rather late. She then looked outside through the classroom’s square windows and saw other students laughing and excited to finally go home after a day of studying. Some students, RiIn noted, stayed behind for their clubs activities. RiIn sat quietly on her chair while watching the track team running around the school field. She once thought of joining the track team but she has to go home early to do the house chores. In fact she never joins any of the school’s activity clubs.
“Wonder how’s uncle doing?” She thought of her police uncle walking home to the empty apartment surprise to see his dinner is not on the table yet. RiIn’s mom died after giving birth to her. She had a weak body condition ever since she got pregnant. Fate was playing with RiIn’s life before she was born. It was either RiIn’s mother disappear or RiIn. Her father was devastated and concentrated on work hoping to forget it to move on. As a result, he always goes overseas for business. So he decided to put RiIn under his brother care since he is a policeman in Seoul. He thought RiIn would be safe living under the same roof with a policeman who also acting as her guardian. Unfortunately, RiIn’s uncle doesn’t know how to cook or clean the house or do other domestic work. Therefore, RiIn do all of the domestic work as part of her ‘becoming a wife’ training. At least that was her uncle said. All of a sudden, the door opened and interrupted RiIn’s thought. The door revealed RiIn’s teacher who still has a furious face and glared at RiIn. Looks like Ms. Hwang like to keep grudges. She walked with her head held high toward RiIn and explained what was her punishment.
“You are lucky the principle is at a meeting at some far district.” Her eyes continued to torture RiIn by its glare. RiIn wondered how long would those tired eyes stop emitting glares as she listened quietly. “Your punishment is to clean the gym’s supply room,” RiIn gasped to hear her punishment. In fact, her mouth hung open in shock. She could not even believe what she was hearing. The gym’s supply room was huge; full of unwanted tools and broken sports equipments. It’ll take her hours to clean it by herself. Moreover it has been unused for several years; probably there were a lot of dusts. She estimated she’d be cleaning till nightfall. Her teacher smirked watching RiIn’s reaction. RiIn’s mouth was still wide opened and her eyes were also enlarged. It seemed like she froze there. “Now go to the gym Ms. Jang.” Her voice sounded satisfied and after a few chuckles, evil chuckles, she left the classroom.
Silent devoured the vacant room and leaving RiIn to melt for a few minutes. First, her knees shook and she immediately sank down to the floor, upset. “I hope uncle can cook for himself tonight.” She talked to herself, staring at the floor. After a few minutes of gathering up her spirit, she stood up, collected all of her belongings and went to the gym. RiIn felt like sinking to the floor again when she saw the state of the supply room. It was bigger and dustier than she had imagined. She was about to cry when she felt someone tapped her shoulder. She turned around to see her friend, who she gave the nickname of ‘mushroom head’ since his hair was shaped like a mushroom. Nonetheless he was cute and younger then her but they were only close friends, almost like brothers and sisters. They met at the beginning of the year when he was a freshman and RiIn was a junior.
“Nuna, what are you doing here?” little TaeMin asked with big innocent eyes, looking around. RiIn let out a heavy sighed and explained everything to TaeMin. TaeMin then had the same face his nuna had right after she explained the situation. He copied her expression really well. “Nuna you are very unlucky.”
“I know TaeMin,” RiIn weakly smile. “Could you go to my apartment and tell my uncle to order some dinner? Warn him not to cook, I don’t want to see a messy kitchen when I get home.” TaeMin nodded and wished her good luck before leaving the supply room. He wished he could help her but he promised his friends to meet them later that evening. RiIn scanned the titanic room again before frowning. “I better start cleaning.” She looked at the dusts and spiders’ webs before grabbing the feather duster.
…
RiIn finally finished and smiled to herself for doing a good job. In fact, she got the feeling of proud; this happened every time she cleaned something. She looked around and the supply room was squeaky clean from top to bottom. She looked at her watch and realized it was 7:20 pm. She was so busy cleaning she did not realized how late it was. She immediately went out but stopped after hearing a ball bounced, the sound echoed in the huge dark empty gym. Who could be in school this late? RiIn questions herself and heard another ball bounced, it reverberation once again. She quietly walked out and peeped from the door. The gym was vacant and dim, which sent shivers down to her spine. RiIn had always hated the dark. RiIn told herself that she heard nothing since no one is there except for her. Suddenly, another bounced could be heard, the sound repeated once more. RiIn tried her best to look at the dark gym and as a result, she finally noticed a figure standing at the middle of the gym. On the figure’s hand was a soccer ball. What is he doing here? RiIn thought and look at the figure. She squinted her eye for a better view of the standing figure; the dark did not help her at all. She could barely see him but she could tell he was around her age. He has short black hair. His skin was pale and flawless. She guessed he was tall too. RiIn sensed he was good-looking but why is he in school at night? RiIn thought for a moment who was the figure but the result was none. There was no one in the school who look completely perfect from head to toe. All of a sudden, the gym door creaked opened and a tall dark physique emerged.
“JunSu.” Another voice could be heard entering the gym…

Chapter Two: Night
RiIn’s gaze moved to the gym’s entrance. There, she saw another person standing next to the door. The light from outside was too bright that she could not see the person clearly, just the outline of him. However, even just his dark large, muscular body, RiIn could tell he was hot.
“YunHo…” The first figure dropped the soccer ball and look at the person. The sound of the dropped ball echoed again. YunHo, the person who just entered, switched on the lights and finally RiIn could see clearly. Though it did hurt her eyes when the lights were suddenly switched on. She took back her words, JunSu or whatever his name was, he was not good-looking…but he was gorgeous, yes gorgeous, there was no other words suit him but gorgeous. His face was more handsome than any other boy RiIn had seen in her whole entire life. His single eyelids were mesmerizing, if he ever stares at her with those beautiful eyes, she might faint. He has high cheekbones that RiIn thought was very cute. His bubbly nose was adorable to RiIn. His lips were also perfect, red and look very soft. His skin looked smooth, pale and flawless just like a baby’s skin. The color of dark brown on his head suited him too perfectly. She could not take her eyes off him. He took her breath just by standing there. It was like seeing an angel from heaven. In fact, RiIn was so drawn to JunSu. She did not realize YunHo was walking toward JunSu. She finally noticed him when he spoke to JunSu. YunHo also took RiIn’s breath away. He was as perfect as JunSu. Only he looked more handsome and manlier. He has shoulder length black brownish hair that looks incredibility good on his perfect head. His nose was straight and he has a long hot neck. His deep voice was also soothing to hear. RiIn was not sure anymore whether she was on earth or a planet of perfects human beings. RiIn could barely hear them since she was far behind from them. She could only hear whispers from them.
“Class is starting soon.” She heard YunHo said. His voice was faint yet clear enough to sense the deep captivating sound. Class? It’s nighttime. School is close. RiIn thought and continued to admire the two. She saw JunSu nodded and YunHo led him to the door. Just as they about to exit the gym, JunSu paused. YunHo also stopped due to JunSu’s sudden stop.
“I smell something…” JunSu stated and scanned the empty gym, he could see nothing but he was sure he smelt something…something luscious. YunHo sighed and turned off the lights before facing JunSu, who still examine the unoccupied gym.
“Stop playing around JunSu, we’re late.” YunHo pushed JunSu out and closed the door. After a few minutes, RiIn finally came back to reality and stepped out quietly from the supply room. She sniffed the air, wondering. I don’t smell anything. Wonder what did he smelt? RiIn looked around the huge silent gym and exited afterwards. She walked toward the school gate and tried to distract herself from thinking of the two men. “Now I have to do my homework.” RiIn stared at the night sky then suddenly remembered her homework still in her locker. She went inside the main building to get it. To her surprise it was not lock. She also saw some classrooms with lights on. It was as if the school was still open for students to come and study.
…
RiIn walked slowly through the dark empty corridor. She could only hear her footsteps echoed as she walked to her locker. The school felt spacious for some reasons as she finally reached her locker. She pulled out her homework papers from her folder and notice her classroom’s lights were on. Curiosity immediately possessed her, she wanted to know or see, what or who was in her classroom. She quietly tiptoed and peeped through the small window on the door. What she saw mesmerized her, never in her seventeen years of living, she saw so many beautiful people in one room.
“JunSu, what were you doing in the gym?” JaeJoong asked as he admired himself by looking at his hand mirror. He was as beautiful as a girl, maybe even prettier since his skin is pale and soft. His eyes were almond shaped and dark mysterious brown. He has a beautiful reddish-brown hair that suits him flawlessly. His nose was small and straight. His lips were pinkish pale and looked really glossy. He absolutely does looked like a beautiful girl.
“Playing soccer.” JunSu bluntly said and continue to doodle in his notebook. The others looked at him weirdly.
“But hyung, there was no one at the gym beside you,” ChangMin pointed out the fact “How could you play soccer alone?”
JunSu stopped drawing and stared hard at ChangMin. Afterwards he said in a deep yet soft voice. “I had my ways.” Then he stood up gracefully from his desk and walked to the classroom window “Besides…” He began, staring at the gym from the window. “I was not alone.”
“What do you mean by that?” YooChun finally spoke, he was reading a book at that time and remained quiet. JunSu turned to face the four of them including YunHo, who was busy listening to his mp3 player and ignoring others.
“I smelt something before YunHo pushed me out from there,” JunSu stated, he remembered clearly the scent, the scent of… A human. “And it smelt appetizing.” He licked his lips seductively.
“JunSu that is impossible, no one is in this school besides the Night Students.” JaeJoong exclaimed. RiIn heard everything from outside the door. She never heard anything about students coming to school at night to study. They called themselves Night Students?
“True but among us, I have the best sense of smell. I never make a mistake at sensing.” JunSu walked back to his desk and paused when he reached his chair. “I smell her again,” he looked around, the boys began to scan the classroom as well and JunSu began to inhaled. The scent was soft yet clear and only female owned such engaging scent. “Yes, it’s a she. Smell as sweet as a strawberry…my favorite.” JunSu smirked.
“I don’t smell anything.” YooChun confessed and looked at the door. All except YunHo turned to the closed sliding door. RiIn immediately ducked and started to crawl away from the door. Her heart beats faster as she tried to crawl quickly and quietly as possible. She did not want to be caught after hearing the conversation, although she did not understand what were they talking about. However she did not want to stay to figure that out. Then she heard footsteps coming to open her classroom’s door. She crawled faster and…

Chapter Three: Saved
She crawled faster and suddenly the door opened with a loud bang that made RiIn jumped a little, the bang echoed through the silent corridor. RiIn could even feel the vibrations on the floor beneath her palms. The lights from the classroom began to flow outside to the dark empty hallway and a tall black silhouette was formed on the floor. Subsequently JunSu emerged from the classroom, scanning and searching the dark corridor of the empty school. RiIn fortunately managed to reach the corner and hid herself there. The school was dark so she was positive they would not be able to see her. However, she felt she was still unsafe. She heard footsteps getting closer and closer to her. Her heart pounded faster and faster by the second. Her sweat wetted her forehead and made it shone in the dark like pearls. She held her breath in fear, as the footsteps grew louder. Just then she remembered they could smell her! They are still able to find her in the darkness. She looked around frantically for a place to hide herself. Yet she knew she had no time left. JunSu followed the human’s scent. He never smelt something so heavenly before. He knows any type of blood drinking is strictly prohibited within the school grounds but he just wanted to know whose blood was it. He reached the corner and looked at another empty hallway, he could see no one, no one at all. He tried to find the scent again but it was gone. It just vanished. He inhaled once again and caught another scent. So the scent earlier did not faded away but it got replaced. The real question now…
Who did it?
“JunSu! Come back here!” YooChun shouted, running to JunSu’s side. His deep voice was higher than usual and was colored with annoyance. ChangMin and JaeJoong popped out their heads at the door to watch YooChun dragging JunSu toward them. “There is no human in this school, come on.” He confirmed his friend. JunSu glanced behind him and sense something is not right. He was sure the human was there and could not disappeared into thin air. There must be someone, or, something helped the human. The new scent was the only clue. Perhaps he should investigate. He smirked and accepted this situation as a challenge.
…
“Okay, I think it’s alright now.” A boy peeped through the door’s small window; he crouched lower as he watched YooChun closed the door of the room. He then turned his eyes back at a shock RiIn. She breathed heavily after the sequenced of events that just occurred minutes ago. Her eyes widen and her forehead still shone like pearls. She was sitting on the floor with the unknown boy in front of her blocking the door. He looked at her with curiosity and tilted his head to one side. There is something different about him. His eyes were dark black yet captivating.
“Who are you?” RiIn asked; her chest moved up and down as she breathed. Her once moist pink lips were dried. She was still shock. She remembered, before JunSu came to the corner, a pair of muscular arms surfaced from the darkness and pulled RiIn into the janitors’ closet. The arms muffled her scream and pushed her down to sit on the cold floor. It was the boy’s arm. He placed his index finger on his perfect light red lips and shushed her. Afterwards he took out a clear bottle containing a colorless solution and sprayed some kind of liquid in the air. It was to lost RiIn’s scent. The boy moved closer toward RiIn and settled himself next to her.
“I’m HanGeng,” he answered in a soft tenor voice, it was so soft and enchanting. His dark eyes stayed at RiIn’s shock face. He formed a timid smile hoping to calm her down; it did worked. RiIn managed to calm down a little. “But you can call me HanKyung if you like.” His smile grew friendlier and made RiIn wanted to faint right then and there. Her mind began processing the present and she realized that he was as perfect as those boys she just saw. However, he looked, different somehow, like she thought earlier. He doesn’t look like a Korean at all. Maybe Chinese? Just like her, a foreigner. Or maybe an exchange student got lost perhaps? So many questions rushed in but abruptly disappeared when the school’s main clock rang. RiIn looked at her watch and it was 8 pm! She gasped at her watched and stood up immediately.
“I have to go!” RiIn’s voice was full of panic and she rushed to the door but paused when she was about to reach the handle. She did not want to be discovered by the boys again. She was afraid she would be found but she really needed to get home. HanKyung was still on the floor and his sparkling dark eyes were still curious, watching RiIn’s every movements as she bit her lips, thinking.
“Want me to accompany you?” HanKyung offered. He gracefully stood up and he walked to RiIn’s side. His right hand held the door’s handle after that he turned to RiIn. “Take my hand.” He held out his left hand so RiIn could grab it. RiIn hesitated at first but she slowly held his hand. As soon as held his hand, she felt safe. His skin felt cold against hers but she felt warm when he smiled. His smile was bashful yet honest. It made her smile too and she felt her cheeks warming. Her heart rate was increasing again. Though she knew this time, it was not because of danger. HanKyung looked up front at the closed door and slowly turned the handle. He carefully opened the door, quietly yet quickly as possible. He examined around and when he was positive it was harmless, he led RiIn out from the janitor’s closet and to the hallway. RiIn tried to step quietly but failed, her footsteps echoed softly through the corridor. Oddly she noticed she could only one footstep. She watched HanKyung’s broad shoulder and he was absolutely flawless. She sensed his hold tighten around her hand, not wanting to let go of her. This made RiIn smiled once again. HanKyung led her safely out from the schools’ ground.
“Umm… Thank you HanKyung.” RiIn thanked HanKyung as they reached the school’s gates. Her hand was freezing around his yet her heart was still pounding crazily. They were still holding hands as their eyes gazed at each other. His eyes were shining black under the moon. In fact, his entire handsome face was practically glowing, showing how good-looking he was. His hairstyle suits him perfectly. It felt like forever for RiIn, she wished she could stared at his gorgeous eyes for eternity but the sound of someone calling her grabbed her attention. It was faint yet clear enough to indicate that the voice was annoyed. It sounded awfully familiar.
“Jang RiIn!! Come here at once!” It was her uncle yelling, she immediately let go of HanKyung’s hand but he was still holding hers. RiIn panicked when her uncle walked closer. HanKyung however remained calm and stared at RiIn’s uncle. When RiIn’s uncle finally came to their side. HanKyung reluctantly released RiIn’s hand. RiIn’s uncle looked at HanKyung from top to bottom. His eyes showed disbelief when he looked at HanKyung then to RiIn next back to HanKyung.
“Evening sir,” HanKyung bow down politely and gently smile at RiIn’s uncle. His voice was still soft yet clear and also calm, which surprise RiIn. Don’t guys usually get scared when they met the parents? RiIn’s uncle glared at HanKyung and tried to greet HanKyung politely. “I have to go now, class is starting soon, see you tomorrow RiIn?” That shocked RiIn too. First, he knew her name? Second, she could see him tomorrow? Unknowing a smile formed on her face at the last question.
“Sure HanKyung,” RiIn responded cheerfully yet her voice seemed tired. “See you tomorrow.” With that HanKyung smile at RiIn and bow, he disappeared in the building; leaving RiIn stared with her slightly angry uncle.
“Who was that boy?” RiIn’s uncle asked, eyeing at RiIn suspiciously. RiIn felt blood rushing to her face and she knew she was blushing. She looked somewhere else and pretended to not care about it.
“Just a friend.” She answered and walked away. Her uncle sighed and followed her home. RiIn’s apartment was not far from school. In actual fact it only took about ten minutes to get there from school. Along the way he mumbled about how fast girls grow up and mature, also on how they fall in love easily. RiIn once again pretended she did not hear anything what her uncle said and focus on HanKyung’s amazing eyes. Her lips formed a timid smile and she couldn’t wait to meet him again.

Chapter Four: New day new surprises
RiIn woke up to the sound of her annoying alarm clock that kept on beeping violently. She groaned, moving her body from side to side and lazily turned off the beeping sound. A few seconds later, she sat on her bed with her eyes still shut tight. She rubbed her eyes while yawning. The sound of a car engine starting woke her up completely. It was probably her uncle getting ready to go to the police station. She opened her eyes and saw a blur image of a figure, sitting at the edge of her bed. She suddenly felt unsafe, afraid and mesmerized at the same time. It was him…the boy she almost encounter last night…
…JunSu to be exact; he still looked like a beautiful angel, sitting and smirking to himself.
“I’ve finally found you.” His voice sounded husky and full of lust as his breathtaking eyes stared at her neck. He slowly crawled closer to her on the bed. RiIn’s breathing became heavier and uneven as fear was building inside of her. She felt her body temperature rising as her cheeks turned slightly red. Her eyes widen at every inch he moved closer. “Now don’t be afraid.” He whispered softly to her ear as he placed his hand on her shoulder and one on her waist.
“W-what do y-you want-t?” RiIn shuttered in terror. She froze at that spot unable to neither move nor shout. She felt cold air coming from his body since they were so close to each other. She also could detect his icy breaths on her neck. Why is he cold? Her eyes looked down and saw he had placed his head near her shoulder. Her heart started to beat uncontrollably. She could hear it herself. Pounding furiously, damaging her eardrums.
“Don’t move.” JunSu ordered; he said so quickly yet clearly. He wanted to smell her, to remember how sweet her scent was. He had spent the whole dawn searching her. He is not going to let his effort go to waste. He inhaled her sweet strawberry scent; he tried not to bit her though. He could feel her body tensed up under his touch. He smirk, maybe it could be fun for him to tease her just a bit. He placed his lips near her neck and began to lick her soft neck. Just tease, don’t go overboard, he mentally advised himself. She gasped suddenly feeling something wet and cold touching her neck. She tried her best to release herself from his grip.
“Let g-go…” She whispered though she could not shout. She felt her body was refusing to do whatever her brain wanted to do. She heard a small chuckle from him. He rose from her neck and looked at her face. He chuckle again seeing her worried expression. Cute, he thought.
“What is your name?” He asked, staring at her brown way hair and removing his hand from her waist to touch her soft hair. He brushed his fingers through her hair while waiting for an answer from her. While he touched her, he realized she was not shivering. Any human would tremble in fear if they were put in this kind of situation. However, she was calm, only her eyes looked scared and her voice as well.
“RiIn…Jang RiIn.” She finally spoke, this time without shuttering. JunSu’s face turned to a soft smile. Mainly because she answered in a confident tone, maybe rewarding her with his smile would be enough. Then he gracefully got off from her bed.
“Well RiIn, it was nice to finally meet you,” JunSu grabbed his black coat from RiIn’s desk, which he brought along with him and put it on. “I have to go now, before the sun fully rose from her slumber.” JunSu opened RiIn’s bedroom’s window and was about to jump out when RiIn stopped him.
“Wait, I…” RiIn was unable to finish her sentence because her uncle was calling her. He was just outside her bedroom door. JunSu let out a small chuckle again. It was as if he knows what she was going to ask.
“My name is Kim JunSu.” With that he jumped out from the window and escaped before RiIn’s uncle opened her bedroom door.
“RiIn, you better hurry. TaeMin is already here with the others.” He informed. “What are you doing opening the window so early? It’s cold outside.” He was absolutely right. A gust of ice-cold wind just hit RiIn on the face and made her whole body shuddered.
“Nothing uncle, just tell them to wait for ten minutes okay?” RiIn replied and her uncle nodded then left her room. She dashed to the bathroom and ready in almost nine minutes. She went out from her bedroom and saw five boys sitting on the couch of her living room waiting for her, her uncle was no where to be seen. He must have left for work already. He must be in a hurry to leave the house before she made breakfast.
“Morning nuna~.” They all greeted as soon as they notice her; RiIn glared at Onew, which frighten him a bit.
“Onew, you are older than me, why did you call me nuna?” RiIn hissed. She then remembered he was absent yesterday. He is going to pay for skipping school and leaving me all alone, thought RiIn as her glares turned more deadly. Onew let out a dry laugh and back away slowly. He could sense an evil aura being emitted from his best friend.
“Nuna, eat your breakfast before leaving.” Key interrupted RiIn’s deadly glare and her eyes focused on the kitchen table. Surprisingly she saw a complete healthy breakfast. She turned to the boys who were smiling; especially Onew since he hoped it would brighten her mood.
“I made it myself nuna!” TaeMin shouted brightly but then got hit by both Onew and Key. They hit him so innocently. “Okay, okay. I only pour the milk.” TaeMin admitted timidly and blushed. He somehow regretted he lied in front of his friend. He never knew they could hurt him.
“Thank you guys.” RiIn thanked them and sat down to enjoy her breakfast. She guessed Key made the eggs since it tasted unique; he used some kind of secret ingredient whenever he cooks. Onew made the toast; it was burned, so only one person could burn anything he cooks. JongHyun arranged the plates and glasses; he is very organized. MinHo decorated the table with a vase of flowers; that was so sweet of him. And like TaeMin said, he only poured the milk. After she was done, each of them helped her clean the house. It is somehow a ritual that every Thursday they help RiIn around the house.
“Let’s go to school before we’re late.” MinHo said and walked out from the apartment followed by Onew who was trying to save his life; apparently RiIn was still mad at him. Key was chuckling and TaeMin who was laughing out loud.
“Come on nuna.” JongHyun dragged RiIn out. After she locked the door, they walk to school together.
“JongHyun…” RiIn called him, which made him stopped. “Do you know anything about ‘Night students’?” JongHyun always know anything about the school, one of the reasons he is in the school’s newspaper club. So RiIn was hoping he knew the answer.
“Night students? Sorry nuna, I never heard anything like that.” JongHyun shrugged. “But I will find out more about it.” He said, as he looked at RiIn’s expression from disappointed to satisfied.
“Thank you JongHyun dongsaeng~.” RiIn messed up his hair and playfully tickled him. He begged her to stop since he was ticklish. Just then an expensive looking black car drove to the school, which made them stopped and stared at the black Volvo.
“The principle is back.” JongHyun told RiIn while he fixed his hair. RiIn stared at the black glossy car. It had black windows too so no one could see through. She watched the principle got out from the car and went inside the main building. The principle was a middle age man but he looked younger despite his age. He looked handsome too, sometimes people were often mistaken he is in his early twenties. “This is the second time I see the principle in reality. He is rarely in school grounds, always go off meeting somewhere.” JongHyun continued to babble on and on but RiIn focused on the man in the suit. RiIn noticed when she looked at the principle. She could sense the same feeling whenever she was with JunSu or HanKyung.
“HanKyung!” She murmured as she suddenly remembered him. She also faintly remembered she be meeting him today. At least that was he said. She did not forget how his black diamond eyes stared at her.
“HanKyung?” JongHyun repeated her after her, slightly raising his eyebrows. “Who’s he? Do I know him?” He smirked at RiIn who was now red. She wished he did not hear her.
“Yah!! You two!” TaeMin shouted which made the both of them look at his direction. MinHo, Key, Onew and TaeMin were at the main entrance of the school, waiting for the other two. “Hurry up!!” He jumped up and down while shouting. Both JongHyun and RiIn laughed while walking toward them. Class was almost normal for RiIn, the other students seemed to avoid her, and not a single one of them had spoken to her. Except for Onew of course, he absolutely had no idea what happened yesterday. Unfortunately for her, Ms. Hwang was her first and second period Biology teacher. Her old tired eyes were still shooting deadly glares at her throughout the whole lessons. RiIn could not wait for school to end so her suffering could end too.

Chapter Five: Vampires
JunSu managed to get into his house before the sun shone brightly and proudly in the morning sky. He entered his home to find his nightmare, YunHo to be precise, waiting for him in the living room. JunSu frowned seeing YunHo’s expression, let’s just say he did not look happy. JunSu made a soft groan knowing he had to endure YunHo’s lecture.
“Where were you during dawn?” YunHo questioned JunSu who was yawning. He approached JunSu and glared down at him. “Were you drinking?”
“Do I smell like blood?” JunSu shot back. He really hates it if YunHo accused him of doing something he did not do. JunSu took this opportunity to escape before YunHo start his yelling. JunSu brushed his shoulder against YunHo’s roughly to go upstairs to his room. He was sleepy and wanted to rest after haunting RiIn all dawn. YunHo yelled JunSu’s name but JunSu just simply ignored him and continued to walk to his room. He shut his door with a loud bang that made the whole house vibrated due to the impact. YunHo growled in irritation and kicked the small wooden table near the door. The vase on top of the table crashed into bits as it hit the red-carpeted floor. Afterward, YunHo sat down on the sofa, frustrated with both of his hands between his head ruining his light brown hair.
“YunHo…” A light deep soothing tired voice called YunHo from the stairs, YunHo looked up and saw his hyung, JaeJoong, looking sleepy. He was wearing a hamtaro pajama, which belongs to ChangMin, and carrying a blanket along with a pillow. He sounded sleepy too. He probably just woke up.
“Sorry, did I wake you up?” YunHo asked as JaeJoong walked toward him. JaeJoong shook his head and smile at his dongsaeng. He sat down beside YunHo, placing the blanket and pillow next to him.
“What’s wrong YunHo?” JaeJoong asked as he yawned. He knew YunHo is kind of stress at the moment due to the ‘Elders’. The ‘Elders’ are actually a group of highly respected, talented, intelligent vampires.
Yes, vampires.
Vampires do exist in this world. Only no one knew his or her existence. The ‘Elders’ are vampires who govern the night world. The group is called ‘Council of Ancients’. They are currently watching Jung YunHo because they think he have potential to become a great leader and also a member of the ‘Council of Ancients’. JaeJoong felt the feeling of pressure that YunHo was under through his eyes. He knew nothing about the ‘Elders’ plans for YunHo, but he care for YunHo’s health and he was worried.
“Nothing hyung,” YunHo lied and false a smile “You should go to sleep hyung. You are those kinds of vampires that need rest.” YunHo persuaded JaeJoong. There are many types of vampires in this world. One of the types is like JaeJoong and JunSu, they are the type of vampires who need to sleep during the day but they do not eat normal food like humans do. Other kinds of vampires are like YunHo and ChangMin, they do not sleep but they do eat, a lot, especially ChangMin. However no matter how much they eat, they won’t get fat. Except for one vampire but that is a different story. YooChun is the kind of vampire that do not sleep nor eat, he spend most of his time in the library, reading, he gain a lot of knowledge from reading. While ChangMin eat and play games all day, he always wins if others challenge him. YunHo would usually read with YooChun or challenge ChangMin at the PS3 but lately the ‘Elders’ have been calling him to headquarter. He now usually spends his time going through documents, helping the ‘Elders’.
“You really sure you’re ok?” JaeJoong let out another yawn. A heavy sighed escaped from YunHo’s lips and he shook his head from side to side at JaeJoong’s stubbornness. JaeJoong finally gave up after seeing YunHo’s reaction and picked up his pillow plus blanket then stood up. “If you need me, I will be in my room.” With that JaeJoong gracefully walked back up to his room. After a few minutes YunHo, too, stood up and went to the library to join YooChun who was concentrating on a book. He does not want to disturb YooChun so he went to sit at his desk and began doing his work that the ‘Elders’ gave him. In fact his desk was covered with piles of papers and folders. Among the documents he was reading, something caught his eyes. It was a file of punishments. Mainly punishments on vampires who drink blood without permission or illegally. The ‘Council of Ancients’ has been trying to make peace with humans for centuries; therefore punishments are set for any illegal blood drinking. However over decades, humans still could not trust vampires. They think vampires are better them ---which was partly true--- because vampires are beautiful and far more talented than any human on earth. If the truth of vampires does exist, what would happen? Chaos and destruction would sure to follow or…
…Perhaps not…
No one knows for sure.
That is why vampires hid themselves but they are tired of being concealed from humans after so many centuries. That is also why the ‘Council of Ancients’ was created, to make peace and harmony between vampires and humans. YunHo browsed through the file and saw one of the punishments. ‘Death is no exception’ it was written clearly on the paper with black ink. YunHo thought of JunSu and his behavior earlier. He shook his head hoping to erase the thought of JunSu drinking blood; only it was not as simple as that. He could only pray JunSu did not do anything that was forbidden.
Meanwhile JunSu was trying to sleep but due to ChangMin’s loud gaming, he could not even hear himself thinking. He now regretted for choosing this room as his bedroom, which was next to ChangMin and his PS3. Seeing that he could not sleep until ChangMin decided to have an eating break. He thought of RiIn. He was still puzzled on her behavior, she acted somewhat calm but terrified at the same time. She was not shivering in fear as well. Which made him drawn to her more. He is now interested in her, wanting to find out more about her. Not just her blood but also how her mind works. JunSu thought of how she looked like, her cute scared expressions when he was near her. How her body tensed up under his touch. He smirked to himself before finally drifting off to sleep.
…
RiIn was still in her class, trying to concentrate at what the teacher explaining. However her mind was somewhere else, somewhere far away. She was thinking of the boy who saved her, a boy named HanKyung. Perhaps she shouldn’t call him a boy; he was a man, a very attractive one. Her cheeks turned slightly red thinking of him. His face, his eyes, his voice, just everything about him was perfect…
Which was inhuman.
She remembered how cold his hand were when he held her hand. Was he freezing? Nevertheless… He was not shivering. There’s something about him, something not normal, something different that separates him and the rest of the boys she met…
…Except for Kim JunSu.
The thought of Kim JunSu immediately scared RiIn; it made her shuddered. She remembered what happened early in the morning. Whenever he was around, RiIn always sense a dangerous atmosphere. There’s some kind of aura that’s coming from him which managed to make RiIn frighten. She was so deep in her thoughts. She did not realize the teacher was calling her. She finally woke up from her thoughts when Onew nudged her.
“Ms. Jang, the principle wants to see you,” Ms. Hwang said with hatred in her voice. “Maybe the principle has decided your ‘official’ punishment.” Her evil smirk that sent the whole entire class to shiver in fear, her eyes were glaring at the same time. Somehow she now looks older and different. RiIn wondered if every time she tortured a student, her appearance would change. Her nose still was small but pointy. Her teeth were not pleasant to see also, it’s all crooked and not in place. She was the ideal evil witch in a fairy tale. Unfortunately this is reality. RiIn stood up from her desk and went out from the classroom. Part of her felt relief to finally get out from there, the students and Ms. Hwang was making her feel uncomfortable. However another part of her was scared to face the master of the school. She never met the principle face to face before. Partially because he is always busy with his work and attend many meetings at somewhere far away like what JongHyun said this morning. RiIn slowly walked along the empty hall way, she wanted to take her time to get there but truthfully she wanted to escape, she felt scared but at the same time she was sure she was not a coward. After five minutes or so, she finally reached the main office of the school. The principle’s assistant was talking on the phone when RiIn knocked the door. She was standing behind a long wooden desk, which acts like a reception desk. She was not as old as Ms. Hwang but she was like a loving mother to all of the students.
“Jang RiIn I assume?” she said after hanging up the phone. Her voice sounded sweet and motherly, her appearance suited her reputation as the ‘Mother of the School’. RiIn answered yes and was shaking in fear. The principle’s assistant noticed the shaking RiIn and a smile came to her face. “Don’t worry RiIn, the principle won’t bite. He’s very nice.” She smiled warmly at her. Her warm smile and words make RiIn more relaxed but her heart was beating like crazy as if it was going to burst out of her chest. “Wait here while I check on him.” She stood up and went to the principle’s office. After a few minutes she came out and smiling. “He’s ready to see you now RiIn.”
RiIn nodded and walked to the door. She held the cold handle and took a deep breath before touching the golden handle.

Chapter Six: Principle’s Decision
“What are you waiting for RiIn?” the principle’s assistant asked from her desk. RiIn’s head turned to face her. She has a nervous smile on her face. “RiIn, I promise the principle won’t hurt you. He is very nice…and charming” RiIn sighed and try to believe her words. Her hand was still holding the cold handle, shaking. It took her a few moments to gather all of her courage for her to finally turn the handle. She slowly stepped in the room, the atmosphere in the room was different, and it felt like she entered a whole new world. Her body began to shiver as a familiar feeling hit her. How many times for the past 2 days must she felt this way? The feeling of fear was always near. It was the same mood she sense when she was with those gorgeous boys. It was unnatural. Her eyes looked around the office, more like a library in fact or maybe even a study room. It was full of thick complicated books on the shelves and amazing art works on the walls. Roses were place in a large glass bowl to give the room a sweet smelling scent. A man was sitting on a chair at the end of the room, next to the huge glass windows over looking the school’s front yard. He was looking at some papers with his glasses on. RiIn was familiar with the papers he was reading. It was her students’ profile. The man looked up from his works and noticed RiIn’s eyes were looking at the papers. He smiled and greeted her.
“D-Did you asked for me to see you sir?” RiIn shuttered by his sudden greeting and smile. Although he was years older than her but he looked attractive and has a charm of his own. He was as perfect as JunSu and HanKyung. He gestured her to take a sit in front of him and RiIn obeyed. After RiIn sat, he smiled again which made her feel kind of awkward. The man in front of her is about to punish her and he just smile.
“Now, I heard you’re the one who broke our school’s precious vase,” he began, his charming smile faded from his face. “Do you know how old is that vase? It has been in the school for centuries and cost a large amount of money.” His voice was not the same as her teacher. Instead of a voice full of hatred, it was a voice full of concern. RiIn looked down to her hands that were on her lap, unable to face him.
“I’m sorry,” was all that came out from her lips. “However…” she looked up with confident in her voice, eyes looked straight into his. “I did not break it.”
The principle raises his eyebrows, surprise. “Then who did break it?” he asked. He could tell she was not lying due to the confident in her voice and her eyes looking directly into his. Later RiIn told her story.
“It was a group of girls who did it.” She finally finished. She could only hope the principle believed her. She actually shaking but thanks goodness she was sitting. The principle thought for a brief moment before smiling again at RiIn.
“Fine, I believe you RiIn.” His words made RiIn sighed in relief. “However, you must find out who are those girls. You may seek help from your friends.” As in investigating? Thought RiIn. Then she remembered Onew likes to snoop around, maybe he could help. Just then the bell rang. It was lunchtime. “You are excuse Ms. Jang. Remember to tell me who are those girls,” he stood up and RiIn followed. “Have fun investigating.” with that RiIn bowed down to him and left the office. As soon as she stepped out, the atmosphere changed. She came back to her world. She glanced back to see the principle reading.
“He looks too young to be 30,” she accidentally said out loud. “That principle KangTa.”
“Nuna,” that could only be one person calling her. She turned around and her deduction was right. Her lips formed a warm smile.
“Hi TaeMin, where are the others?” she asked as they walk to the cafeteria. He answered all of them were at the cafeteria, waiting for her. She saw them sitting at their usual table, waving at both her and TaeMin. After they took their sits, the boys began attacking her with questions after questions.
“Slow down! I’m only human,” the boys finally able to be quiet and let her to tell the story in peace. “He wants me to find those girls.”
“Cool!!” the boys are now beaming, thinking on how being a spy. They each talked about what things they should bring to help them spy. Only JongHyun was quiet about the whole thing.
“Nuna, remember this morning when you asked about ‘Night Students’?” JongHyun spoke. RiIn nodded in respond. “Well I found something about it but it doesn’t make any sense.”
“As in?” RiIn was eager to find out. JongHyun saw it through her eyes.
“I found out in a Japanese website. I only read the rough translation, there’s nothing special about it.” He tried to recall what he read during his computer class just this morning “The ‘Night Students’ are just a group of students who came to school at night and study. The weird thing is, all of the ‘Night Students’ are like perfect human beings.”
A wave of memories suddenly hit RiIn. She remembered her classroom filled with five gorgeous boys. They all were like gods or angels. “Anything else?” JongHyun shook his head. She sighed in disappointment.
“Ok how about we begin our spying today?” MinHo asked. The others nodded in excited, well except for JongHyun and RiIn.
“Sorry, I have to go to the Newspaper club.” JongHyun stated and ate his lunch. Then all eyes were at RiIn, waiting for her answer. She smiled and put a thumb up. Their investigating would begin later.
“This is going to be troublesome.” RiIn thought and ate her lunch. Now she has to baby-sit four boys and one of them is older than her.

Chapter 7: Dongsaeng, I’m sorry
“Are you sure we’re safe?” asked TaeMin who was… well… hanging.
“Yup, no one has seen us.” Onew was in his own spying world to even care about his dongsaeng. He looked at some students who were just innocently passing by. He and the rest of the team were at the school’s entrance, hidden behind some bushes. “So far everyone is above suspicion.”
“Talk normally JinKi hyung.” Key requested as he search out for the other students with his spy gadget. He groaned when he could not find anyone suspicious. He was tired of playing spy already.
“Are you ok, TaeMin?” asked RiIn who looked up and worried that TaeMin might fall from the tree. There was not much space in the bushes therefore TaeMin was threatened to climb a tree.
“I’m perfectly fine, WOAH!” he exclaim as he lost his balance. However, he managed to hug the tree’s branch before he fell. He looked like a cute koala hugging the branch. With his frighten expression it was a funny sight indeed. RiIn and the other members laughed watching TaeMin. “Hey! It’s not funny!” TaeMin pouted and tried to regain his balance. He sat on the branch and began scanning the entrance. The others were still laughing their heads off. TaeMin ignored them and continued to spy. He then saw his crush walking. Her smooth straight black hair was tied with a red ribbon in a cute ponytail. She looked very pretty in her school uniform, which only consists of a black sweater and plated black brown skirt for female. Her clear innocent face was attractive as she strolled down to the main gate.
“SooHee!!” TaeMin’s crush looked around. TaeMin also looked at the source of the voice. It was coming form one of SooHee’s friends. She has a pretty square face with white skin. Her waist length curled black hair bounced as she skipped toward SooHee. “What are you doing going home so early?”
“RaeMi ah, I’m hungry that’s why.” SooHee pouted. TaeMin chuckled hearing her answer. No wonder he has fallen for her, she always managed to make him laughed. Soon TaeMin saw the rest of SooHee’s friends walking toward both SooHee and RaeMi. There were six all together including SooHee. They were talking and laughing like a usual girl group of friends. If TaeMin remembered correctly their names were HyoRi, JinJi, HyeIn and RyeoNa. RiIn finally managed to get herself together from laughing so hard and saw TaeMin’s crush with her friends. RiIn knows almost everything about TaeMin. He was after all like a dongsaeng to her. RiIn turned around and saw the others were back to spy other students who passed by. She continued to listen SooHee’s friends. They were not far from the bushes but their voices were small and soft like they were whispering. RiIn remembered what happened the day she was framed. She remembered vividly the sound of whispering after the vase crushed. She gasped as she remembered the soft whispers and footsteps.
“It’s them.” RiIn said in a soft voice. Her eyes continued to watch SooHee’s friends. Her body was shaking. Either she was excited she found who broke the vase or scared TaeMin might hate her after all this. Key, who was next to her heard what she said. He looked at where RiIn was staring. He only saw a group of girls. He recognized one of them. Her name was HyoRi if he was not mistaken. He had the same Biology class with her. She was the shortest among her friends but that what made her looked adorably cute. Her wavy shoulder length black hair was down; usually she would tie it up or wear a cap. HyoRi was also very smart; she never missed any of her classes and always arrived early than everyone else. As a result, she was among the top students. Sometimes Key asked her questions about their homework when he doesn’t know the answer. Among them, he also saw SooHee. Yes, he also know TaeMin had a crush on her. Key was very good in observing and he could read TaeMin like an open book.
“Nuna, are you ok?” Key whispered. RiIn turned her head toward Key and spoke in a soft yet shuttering tone.
“It w-was them. They b-broke it.” RiIn was panting. She doesn’t know why. The team on the ground heard RiIn and stared at the group of girls. MinHo asked whether RiIn was sure it was them who did it. RiIn nodded.
“Hey! Why are you guys looking at my SooHee? I know she is pretty but she’s mine!” TaeMin stated up in the tree as he looked down at the others. The others looked up at TaeMin with a sorry face.
“Dongsaeng, I’m sorry.” RiIn apologized.
